Little Khemists™ 6-Week Course Safety, Participation & Attendance Policy Welcome to Little Khemists™ at Bold Chemistry Lab®! Our 6-week STEM science course is designed to give children ages 3–12 an exciting, hands-on laboratory experience in a safe, structured, and encouraging environment. By enrolling a child in Little Khemists™, the parent/guardian agrees to the following policies. 1. Adult Supervision & Drop-Off Policy Children may NOT be dropped off or left unattended at Bold Chemistry Lab. Each child must be accompanied by a responsible adult 21 years of age or older for the entire duration of the course session. The accompanying adult is responsible for remaining on-site and available to assist with the child if requested by Bold Chemistry Lab staff. Staff members are not responsible for providing one-on-one childcare or supervision outside of the scheduled science activities. Parents/guardians must remain reachable by phone throughout the session. Children may only be released to their parent/guardian or an authorized adult identified during registration. 2. Laboratory Safety Because Little Khemists™ is a hands-on science program, children will participate in supervised experiments and laboratory activities. For everyone's safety: All children must follow instructions provided by Bold Chemistry Lab staff. Safety goggles must be worn during designated laboratory experiments. Lab coats or other required protective equipment must be worn when instructed. Children must remain in their assigned work area unless given permission to move. Running, pushing, horseplay, throwing materials, or unsafe physical behavior is prohibited. Children may not taste, eat, or intentionally inhale any laboratory materials unless the activity is specifically designated as food-safe. Children must never touch, mix, or handle chemicals, laboratory equipment, dry ice, heat sources, electrical equipment, or other materials without staff instruction and supervision. Hands must be washed or sanitized before and after laboratory activities. Children must immediately notify an adult or staff member if a spill, breakage, injury, allergic reaction, or other safety concern occurs. Broken glassware, sharp objects, spills, or damaged equipment must never be handled by children. Children must follow all posted laboratory rules and emergency instructions. 3.
